World University Games 2023 Qualifying Standards
The World University Games is an international multi-sport event for university athletes that is organized by the International University Sports Federation (FISU). The Games are held every two years, with the Summer and Winter Universiades alternating.
The 2023 World University Games will be the 30th edition of the event, and will be hosted in Chengdu, China from August 19 to 30.
Qualifying standards for the Games are set by FISU and vary depending on the sport. For most sports, athletes must be aged 17-28 and currently enrolled as a full-time student at a university or similar institution to be eligible.

Around 3000 athletes from over 100 countries are expected to compete in The World Games 2023, which will take place in Birmingham, Alabama, USA.
Birmingham was selected as the host city at the INAS General Assembly in November 2018.
The World Games were first held in 1983 in New York City, USA. Since then, they have been staged in cities including Melbourne (Australia), Seoul (South Korea), Amsterdam (Netherlands) and Kaohsiung (Chinese Taipei).
